Chemical Bonding

In STEM class the second round of the year, we had learned about Chemical bonding. In chemical bonding, there are Covalent bonding, Ionic bonding, and Metallic bonding. For this writing, I would only describe about Covalent bonding and Ionic Bonding. 

Ionic Bond: All compounds form when atoms of different elements share or transfer electrons. In water, the atoms share electrons. In some other compounds, called ionic compounds, atoms transfer electrons. The electrons actually move from one atom to another. When atoms transfer electrons in this way, they become charged particles called ions. The ions are held together by ionic bonds. Ionic bond form only between metals and nonmetal. When it is Ionic bond an element will gain or lose the electron.

Covalent bond is the force of attraction that holds together two atoms that share a pair of electrons. The shared electrons are attracted to the nuclei of both atoms. Covalent bonds form only between atoms of nonmetals. The two atoms may be the same or different elements. If the bonds form between atoms of different elements, a covalent compound forms. Covalent bonds form because they give atoms a more stable arrangement of electrons.

Ratio

Almost at the end of the second round of the year, In math class we had learned about Ratio. What does ratio mean? Ratio mean to compare the number of something to the number of something. 

Example: If I want to compare boys, and girls students. I know that, there are 110 students in Liger with equally same amount of gender. If it is same amount of boys to girls, I know that, there are 55 boys, 55 girls. To ratio the number of boys to girls is 55 to 55 or 55:55, which both can be use. When we do the ratio, we need to you the number of something to the number of others thing. 

Ratio can do with more object, not just two object. It can be three, four, five or many object. d

Example: Engtieng has $5, Cheata has $4, David has $6, and Visal has $2. Why the ratio of Engtieng, Cheata, David, and Visal money. So we need to put in order list the amount of money down. Ratio of the money is 5:4:6:2, which 5 to 4 to 6 to 2.

English literacy

This round, we had learned about a lot of thing. Hannah my teacher, thing round use a hyperdoc and hyperslide that use to teach in many lesson. Hyperdoc or Hyperslide it is useful, and it is also easy for our teacher to keep tracking on our lesson. In hyperdoc, it has a question that ask use of what we learned, and what we had understand. 

Overall, this I found this is an easy way for me the study, and to keep remind me of what I need to do. 

Pixar story

Once upon a time there was woman who give a birth to a little boy name Kimhor.

Everyday Kimhor learn very hard, and help people around him. He also a good student in class that always help students who struggle about their work.

One day there was a organization that came to his school and took some students that have talent for an opportunities of testing the exam. Kimhor did very well and pass the exam, and he came to learn at Liger Leadership Academy.

Because of that Kimhor can learn a lot project based-learning, and about other subject, and English.

Because of that Kimhor can speak English with foreigner, and have a lot of experience for different subject.

Until finally Kimhor use the skill he had learn to change his country which is Cambodia to become a country that has a very high economic, a lot of tourists, having a lot of rich people, and the country known as a famous country in world that never have before.

 

This Pixar story was written in the past few weeks, and I wrote it to describe the my life in the present and the future of my life of my change agent of Cambodia, as I would the BRIGHTER FUTURE of my Country CAMBODIA.

This celebration is one of our Khmer traditional celebration, that people always celebration every year kind of last year ( October, November ).

Learning in class

                                   What is Outdoor Leadership? Outdoor Leadership mean, to lead yourself or others while your are outdoor. Also to lead your life or to survive in the wood. In our Outdoor Leadership exploration we have five core value for our Exploration that we need to follow for the rest of our exploration. Those five core values are Respect, Determination, Learning, Problem solver, and Encouragement.      Those five core values can lead our exploration successful for our trip. Also we have a poster with those five core values with our hand sign to promise that we will follow the core values and bring the good to the whole exploration. However in class, we also learn about risk management, CPR ( chest compression ), and first aids. We had spent a lot of time working together about those thing. What are risk management? The risk management are identify, access, control, and review. In class we had divided into group and define the risk that we might face during the trip, and how we can control the risk.Next thing, we had learn about first aids. Why did we learn about first? We learned about first aids, because we don’t what would happen during our trip, and what can we do help them, and how can we help people while they are facing the emergency injure.. Especially we learned about chest compression, and counting our heartbeat. We had divided into different group again, and we had did the chest compression with our partner and checking our partner heartbeat. Last but not least, our teacher chose four students to do the workshop with our Liger students.

Finally our workshop or our exploration Outdoor leadership might inspire other Cambodian people to have them self outdoor.

                                                                     

 

Adobe

For the first day of multimedia and technology. I was shock, because I didn’t like technology or  Adobe software. I learn about primary source and secondary source. Primary source is a source that came from event, interview, newspaper, magazine, documentary, and more. Secondary source is a source, that came from a book or a passing speech from generation to generation. Cindy gave me a task to do the research about a topic that include primary source, and secondary source. I  chose to write about Royal palace in Cambodia. I had include primary source and secondary source. Also I had three key words about royal palace such as: Imperative, Capability, and magnificent. After we researched about royal palace, I had learn about Indesign, Lightroom, and Photoshop from my friends Vuochnea, Chhay, and Panharith. I learn how to add document, putting line, writing Khmer letter, edit picture, changing frame, and cutting photo from on picture to other picture. After I learned those three Adobe software, I had create a poster that include English letters, Khmer letters, line, shape, picture that I had edit, I had cut. 

From those experience it made me more interest, and like doing that Adobe and like technology more than before.

Atom

  Last we learned about rock, solar system, ocean, and more. This year I        learned about Physical Science, mass, matter, and atom. My teacher ( DA ) focus to teach us more about atom. Before I explain you what is atom, I show you different learning.

In the center of Matterville, there is a place called the Nucleus Arcade, where two members of the Atoms Family like to hang out. Perky Patty Proton, like her sisters, is quite large with a huge smile and eyes that sparkle (+). Patty is always happy and has a very positive personality. Nerdy Nelda Neutron is large like Patty, but she has a boring, flat mouth and eyes with zero expression (o). Her family is very apathetic and neutral about everything. Patty, Nelda, and their sisters spend all their time at the arcade.

Around the Nucleus Arcade, you will find a series of roadways that are used by another member of the Atoms Family, Enraged Elliott Electron. Elliott races madly around the Arcade on his bright red chrome- plated Harley-Davidson. He rides so fast that no one can be sure where he is at any time. Elliott is much smaller than Patty and Nelda and he is always angry because these bigger relatives will not let him in the Arcade. He has a frown on his face, eyes that are squinted with anger, and a very negative (-) attitude.

The first energy street can only hold only two Electron brothers. The second energy street, called the Energy Freeway, can hold 8 brothers. The third energy street, called the Energy Superhighway, can hold 18 of the brothers.

The morale of Matterville is stable as long as each negative Electron brother is balanced out by one positive Proton sister. The number of residents in Matterville depends on the Proton and Neutron families.

                                                             After read about atom family

So Atom is very small element that we can’t see with our regular eyes. It has 3 component such as : Proton, Neutron, and Electron. Proton stay in the nucleus with Neutron, and Electron can’t get inside the nucleus with Proton, and Neutron.  

That is just a small explanation about atom, but what I like is, beside learning toward about atom, I learned from activity that take human as an example. That is an fun way to study, and want next round teacher Da would the same learning style like this atom family. 

 

 

 

New Style

For this third year of English literacy, I thought that it going to get harder and harder. I learned about ancient English, where the root word come from. English root words mostly came from Greek, and Latin. For the alphabet and the word mostly came from German. Hannah had a new style of learning for the root word, which 10 words per  week. I like learning word from that style, and I am starting to know more about English root word, and many different words that I don’t know. There are some sentence with one blank word that help to get more remember the word and fill in the blank. Also there is few different words that have the same meaning for to guess with one is the best match with the word. Moreover there are a question to ask me with the word, and I need to answer all of the question. There are a small test about those root words the know how far we got there or to know how much we understand the words. This is a useful learning style that I ever met, and I hope next for third year in Liger same learning style as this round.

Algebra

First school year learning 5 A math. We learn about fraction, decimal, rounded, and whole number. Also we focus on word problem. By the time pass by, Sam teach us about algebra. It was very hard for everyone and for me. I am struggle with it and mess it up all in my mind. Next day I still wanted to learn algebra again and again. I tied to ask teacher, and watch the strategy of the algebra. When got to know some basic of algebra, I always want Sam to put me a easy algebra homework. After I top it into my mind I wanted Sam to put me a hard algebra again. I figured it out, I always try to find algebra work in google. One day when I got into math class, Jeff.b put me a very hard algebra for me that I ever met. I try to solve it, but I can’t. I told him that I can’t solve it, and then he told me how to solve it. After he told the strategy I gave my another algebra problem, and finally I could solve it easily. 

If you try hard, you could make it easily.
